"Growing up, the Ridges what's the place I drive by a lot, or casually golf at, but rarely stopped to eat. Things have changed. Under current management, the Ridges is thriving! We had a wonderful dinner there on a Friday night. It was super busy, so we sat at the bar to wait for a table and ended up eating right there.
Because it is Wisconsin, I started out with a brandy old-fashioned. I forgot how genuinely delightful it is to be offered a mushroom as a choice of the garnish. It was an excellent drink. They don't have Biron tap, but they do have a decent selection of beer in the bottle, which is what my companion ordered.
Fridays are fish night and there was a wide selection of different fish that you could order, prepared in a variety of manner. I was super excited that they had a lake perch on the menu, because I so rarely see that. I probably didn't need an entire half pound, but it was really delicious. My companion ordered fish fryand enjoyed that as well. We didn't sample the rest of the menu, but they were plenty of good options. The number of people dining there tells me that the food must be good. So glad we went. Hope to go again when I am in Rapids."
